California Department of Public Health Important Information about the Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Vaccine for the 2012-2013 school year:

All students entering 7th through 12th grades will need proof of a Tdap booster before starting school in the fall. They will not be allowed to enroll without proof of the immunization.  The booster is good if given on or after the 10th birthday so students 7th grade to 12th grade can get them now and they will meet the requirement in August of 2011.
