North Salinas High School is a four-year comprehensive high school. It is one of four high schools and one continuation school in the Salinas Union High School District. There are four middle schools in the district as well. Students from Harden Middle School and Washington Middle School attend North Salinas High School. Students from Gavilan View Middle School of the Santa Rita Union School District also attend North Salinas High School.

Mission Statement:  North Salinas High School is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all of its students. The school provides opportunities for each student to grow physically, emotionally, and socially. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of school activities. Quality classroom time is the highest priority, one that develops academic, critical thinking, vocational and communication skills; encourages respect for diversity; and fosters self-esteem and self-direction.
