About El Puente School
El Puente School is a voluntary, public, independent study, 7-12 student school for youth that is consistently focused on each youngster’s individual learning and growth.

El Puente School, approved by the Salinas Union High School District Board of Trustees to open on August of 2011, is unique in its configuration in that is it the only 7-12, independent study school in Salinas CA that will offer a traditional and on-line instructional modality. The school will seek accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) the first semester of the school year 2011-2012. The El Puente School is located at the Salinas Education Center, 20 Sherwood Pl. in Salinas, CA
